Media Source Report

Note: Please refer to the common interaction elements article to understand the different user controls on this report.

  • From the Report Navigation Panel on the left, click on Segmentation option and then select Media Sources from the expansion menu.
  • This Report will display the application’s data grouped by the different media sources configured and helps identify your profitable Media Sources. You can choose a metric to visualize from the radio buttons above the graph. There will be two options to select for the user. One is New users and second is activities.

New Users 

Displays data related to installs(User acquisition) and In-App Events post user acquisition.Select New Users from the tab as shown in below screenshot 

 

  • The above graph take date as x axis and you can select metrics for the y axis by selecting the checkbox for particular metric.Select metrics for which media source report is to be viewed.

  • There will be ‘+’ sign on left side of  media sources for which there are sub-id values. For media sources not having any sub-id “+” won’t be shown.On click over “+” show the top 10(based on install count) sub-id values and show a load more button at the bottom in case there are more than 10 sub-ids for that media source. On click over load more button show next 10 sub-id values(sorted on the basis of installs).


 

Activities 

Displays data related to App usage and user engagement.Select Activities from tab as shown in below screenshot.

Terms

  • Media Source – This indicates the list of media sources – the Installs/Conversion data that are being grouped.
  • Sub ID -The way installs and In-app activities are attributed to a media source. Similarly after this the installs and in-app activities should be attributed to a sub-id also along with media source.
  • Active Users– Indicates the number of unique app users during a specific measurement period.
  • Active Sessions – indicates the no of open sessions during a specific measurement period.
  • Frequency – It is active sessions divided by the active users during a specific measurement period.
  • Avg time per Session – Active session per duration.
  • All Events– This represents the sum of all events such as registrations,purchases,page views, add to cart and so on.
  • Avg Event per user – this represents the total events divided by the active users.
  • Clicks – Indicates the no of times user has clicked on the campaign.
  • Installs – Indicates users who have installed the app and launched the app for the first time.
  • CVR% – CVR% or Conversion ratio indicates the click to installs ratio, It measures the ratio of audience who have installed the app after clicking an ad. It is derived using the equation – Conversion/Clicks * 100.
  • Avg Event per Install – Total events for the time period divided by the installs.
